COUNTRY LEGENDS ROLL INTO TOWN!
The Country Legends are celebrating 80 years of great Country music, this special anniversary show features the music of some of the best-loved country artistes from Hank Williams to Dolly Parton from Willy Nelson and Garth Brooks to Kenny Rogers, Patsy Cline and more.
This outstanding show is coming to the King's Hall, Ilkley and features an all star cast with lavish costume changes plus music provided by the Outlaw Band, who boast some of the Worlds’ finest country musicians. The Country Legends Show took the Grassington Festival by storm last year and proved one of the most popular bands ever to visit the Festival. It is the first time for many years that a Country Show of this quality has visited the King's Hall so come along and enjoy a 'foot-tapping' night of non stop music.
This great show features an all-star cast with lavish costume changes plus music provided by the Outlaw Country Band, who boast some of the UK's finest country musicians.
The show has toured extensively both in Europe and in the U.S and has received rave reviews wherever it has performed. Marilyn Davis of 'Up Country' magazine said 'As a tribute show this must be up there with the best. The skills of the band are amazing'.
We start way back in the 40 s when Mr Hank Williams was writing and performing some of the greatest Music ever played on the Ryman stage.
We then move on to the debut of miss Patsy Cline in 1961, also featured is the Grandfather of modern country music, Willie Nelson and the unforgettable man in black Mr Johnny Cash.
Also in the 60s Miss Tammy Wynette moved to Nashville and started a revolution! We pay tribute to the great 60s and 70s female stars in our 'Queens of Country' selection.
We have a fantastic performance by the first lady of country, Dolly Parton plus great music from such legends as Kenny Rogers, Merle Haggard and George Strait.
Bringing things right up to date we feature electric performances from the modern day super stars, with multi C.M.A vocalist of the year Martina McBride plus music from Garth Brooks and Shania Twain building up to a fantastic finale.
